Joseph W. Lista, MS PA-C
Physical Health
Contributor
West Shore Family Practice
6375 Mercury Dr., Suite 200
Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
Office: (717) 620-2500
Joseph W. Lista is a native of Philadelphia, PA. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph's Preparatory School, in Philadelphia. He earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Scranton, and his Physician Associate medical training and certification from Philadelphia University (now part of Thomas Jefferson University).
Before becoming a Physician Associate, Mr. Lista held positions in Health Care Administration, as CEO of a 160 bed rehabilitation center. He has been practicing medicine in Family Practice for 30 years.
He thoroughly enjoys meeting with his patients. He greets all patients with a smile and acknowledges their presence. He believes to facilitate a patient's SPEM Health, medical providers must have a positive interaction with each of their patients. While providers in family practice focus primarily on Physical Health, we often find ourselves involved in Spiritual, Emotional, and Mental Health issues. With a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, it comes naturally to him to help patients truly discuss how they are feeling. In this way, he develops an understanding of ways to impact the patients' SPEM Health in a positive manner.
He discusses with his patients that physical health is a very important element of their daily lives. He shares with them that we all want to feel better. We all want to feel our best! So, he asks, "How do we do that? Are we being true to ourselves?"
